My name is Pratin Aiammala-Clark (aka Pratin Clark).  I’m a registered psychologist and my private practice is based at the Pleasant Point Health Centre.

Married, with two adult adult children, Mae (26) and William (20),  Pratin was born in Thailand, naturalized in Australia and moved to New Zealand in 2021.

This is not her first time in New Zealand though, as Pratin first came here as an exchange (AFS) student back in 1894 and attended Rangiora High School, which is where she met her (now) husband, Malcolm Clark.

Pratin has previously worked as a secondary school teacher, family day care giver, and as a secretary. She studies and trained to be a psychologist in Australia.   I have bachelor’s degrees in English and in Children and Family from Edith Cowan University, WA, Master of Arts (from the USA), Graduate Diploma in Psychology (USQ) and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology (Bond University, QLD).

“I started out my psychology career with the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care, NSW Government as an intern and became fully qualified as a residence psychologist until  2016 when I started my private practice to support clients with disabilities through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  Due to the Covid -19 pandemic, my husband and I decided to move to New Zealand.  I worked for the Ministry of Education in Taupo as an Educational Psychologist from 2020 and resigned from this position in November 2021.”
